About QuickTime 1.6 Movies
QuickTime movies add an exciting new dimension to multimedia and personal computing. There are some problems with the current technology, however. Because of the speed of the current Macintosh CPU's and the rate at which data can be read from Hard disks and CD ROM drives, there is a limit to the amout of information that can be displayed at a given time. These hardware limitations dictate slower frame rates, lower image quality and small window sizes even though the original videotape was of high quality. QuickTime movies are 16 bit images. The images are best viewed from a 24 bit, 16 bit, or grayscale Macintosh. The movies may look a bit "snowy" on 8 bit machines.
TO VIEW QUICKTIME MOVIES ON MACINTOSH you must be running system 6.0.7 or higher (this includes System 7), you need a color or grayscale Macintosh, and obviously a CD ROM drive. To view movies, drag the QuickTime 1.6 extension from 'System Stuff' folder inside the 'QuickTime' folder on the ErotiCafé CD and drop it onto your closed System folder. If you are running System 7, your Macintosh will put the QuickTime extension into the Extensions folder for you. Then restart your Macintosh to activate.
